About Me

I’m Averil Weaver, a textiles graduate from Edinburgh College of Art. Screen print, embroidery and collage are techniques that capture my spirit for textile creation. I have a keen eye for detail and a love of colour, always working towards creating considered palettes which work to capture atmosphere and mood.

Often inspired through time spent in nature, my designs tend to be influenced by natural forms and earthy colour tones, incorporating floral painting and illustration. A love of practcing yoga informs the calm, intentional design of my collections, guiding me to create pieces that refelct balance and have a deep connection to the natural world.

My work aims to capture the art of ‘slowing down’ and I believe in the importance of hand processes and creating art that is intuitive as a craft. The meditative actions of dyeing fabric, mixing colour, drawing and printing all come together to produce textiles that echo quality over quantity.
